Don’t you just hate it when you call a company and you get a different person every time? Ever tried to troubleshoot a problem with your satellite receiver? You keep calling back and you end up having to explain the problem over and over because it is a different person each time, and each time your explanation gets longer and longer because you have to include what happened as a result of the 4th, 5th and 6th call. How pleasant would it be and how much time would you save if you only dealt with a few people who knew who you were, who knew your history and the specific requirements of your company? Our low turnaround in personnel helps to achieve just that scenario.

At Washington Calibration the average employment tenure is 14 years. Within our staff there is one person with over 25 years, three with over 20 years, three with over 10 years and the remainder of the staff having between two and ten years service at Washington Calibration. Out of a total staff of 11 people, that is really saying something. In addition to the testimony of how much we enjoy the work and working with our customers, the length of service means stability and that manifests as actual knowledge gained from experience; and that says that common sense is still employed here after more than 40 years.

Established by Bob Washington in 1965 as Washington Granite, it was a one-man operation created to fill a growing need for Granite Surface Plate resurfacing and calibration in what was then a young and bourgeoning Phoenix manufacturing community. With almost two decades of quality service behind him, Bob Washington decided to broaden the scope of services by incorporating as a C-Corp in 1982 and changing the name to Washington Calibration Incorporated. In 1984 our current owner, David Sabia, purchased the company from Bob Washington and since that time we have expanded to include a physical calibration laboratory and an environmentally controlled dimensional calibration lab, as well as, on-site service where granite surface plate calibration and resurfacing are still our specialty.
